Dr. Samrat Ray is an accomplished academic leader, researcher, and higher education professional with over 25 years of experience in global higher education, research, and academic leadership. He currently serves as Dean, School of Management and Liberal Studies, Sir Padampat Singhania University, Udaipur, Rajasthan, and holds additional responsibilities as Director of the Office of International Relations. He has also served in senior academic and research leadership positions at IIMS Pune and is a Senior Researcher and Postdoctoral Fellow in Economics of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, Russia.
He holds a PhD in Economics, along with an MPhil in Management, MBA in Marketing, Post Graduate qualifications in Data Science and other academic disciplines. His academic and professional expertise includes economics, entrepreneurship, innovation, behavioral economics, digital transformation, financial technology, sustainability, artificial intelligence, and higher education leadership.
Dr. Ray has contributed to more than 150 research publications, with research appearing in Scopus Q1/Q2, SSCI and ABDC-listed publications. His research impact includes an H-index of 34, i10-index of 73, and more than 3,200 Google Scholar citations. He has also contributed to books and editorial projects in areas including AI ethics, business intelligence, computational intelligence, sustainability, and digital transformation.
