Biography -

Post-Doctorate in Social Psychology from the École des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (EHESS), Paris/France, Public Health Nurse, and Doctor in Public Health (USP). Retired Full Professor actively involved in the Graduate Program in Nursing and the Research Area of the School of Nursing/UERJ; Researcher 1A at CNPq and Pro-Scientist at UERJ. She coordinated the Graduate Program in Nursing (2004-2009 and 2016-2019); coordinated the Advisory Committee of the Nursing Area of CNPq (2010-2013) and was a member of this committee (2007-2013). Advisor to Capes, CNPq, FAPERJ, FINEP, Center for Advanced Studies at USP, Mackenzie Foundation, and other national and international Research and Science and Technology Support Foundations. She develops research guided by the Theory of Social Representations in the fields of Public Health and Nursing, on topics such as social representations and health; social images and professional practices in health; symbolic incorporation of health systems; professional practices focused on VIH/SIDA and its symbols; symbolic construction of the coronavirus and COVID-19, and personal and social care practices. He/She coordinates the Research Group on Sociocognitive and Psychosocial Processes of Health and Nursing Care of Population Groups (PSICUIDEN) of CNPq, through which he/she develops international exchange projects with different international centers.
