Biography -

Dr. Moses Jeremiah Barasa Kabeyi is an engineer, researcher, and academic specializing in energy systems, sustainable energy transition, industrial engineering, power generation, and energy sustainability. He holds a Doctor of Engineering in Industrial Engineering from Durban University of Technology, South Africa, as well as a Master of Science in Mechanical and Production Engineering (Energy), a Master of Project Planning and Management, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical and Production Engineering.

He has served as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment, at Durban University of Technology, where his activities include research and publication, postgraduate supervision, teaching, conference participation, research proposal development, and academic networking. He has also held academic positions at the University of Nairobi, Kirinyaga University, Technical University of Kenya, Technical University of Mombasa, Egerton University, and Mt. Kenya University. His professional experience also includes engineering and management roles in power generation and industrial operations, including work with Kenya Electricity Generating Company (KenGen), Nzoia Sugar Company, Pan African Paper Mills, and Varsani Brake Linings. His research and professional interests are strongly focused on sustainable energy systems, renewable energy, power generation, energy optimization, energy transition, and environmental sustainability. Dr. Kabeyi has an extensive publication and reviewing record, including research articles, conference papers, book chapters, and contributions related to sustainable energy transition, renewable energy, biogas, energy storage, smart grids, power generation, life-cycle assessment, and environmental impacts of energy systems.
