Principles of Authorship

Researchpubx recognizes authorship as both a privilege and a responsibility. Authorship should accurately reflect individuals who have made substantial intellectual contributions to the conception, design, execution, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of scholarly work.

Proper authorship attribution ensures accountability, transparency, and recognition of academic contributions while maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record.

Eligibility for Authorship

To qualify as an author, an individual should have made significant contributions in one or more of the following areas:

  • Conceptualization and study design
  • Data collection, analysis, or interpretation
  • Development of methodology
  • Manuscript drafting or critical revision
  • Scientific or intellectual content review
  • Approval of the final manuscript version

All authors must approve the submitted version and agree to be accountable for the accuracy and integrity of the work.

Corresponding Author Responsibilities

The corresponding author serves as the primary contact between the journal and all co-authors throughout the editorial and publication process.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring all authors meet authorship criteria
  • Obtaining approval from all co-authors before submission
  • Managing communication with the editorial office
  • Coordinating revisions and responses to reviewers
  • Ensuring the accuracy of author information

Contributors and Acknowledgements

Individuals who contribute to a study but do not meet authorship requirements should be acknowledged appropriately.

Examples include:

  • Technical support personnel
  • Data collection assistants
  • Administrative staff
  • Language editing services
  • Funding coordinators

Acknowledged individuals should provide consent where appropriate.

Changes to Authorship

Requests to add, remove, or reorder authors after submission must be supported by:

  • Written justification
  • Consent from all listed authors
  • Editorial approval

Changes may be declined if insufficient evidence is provided or if concerns regarding authorship integrity arise.

Authorship Misconduct

Researchpubx does not tolerate unethical authorship practices, including:

  • Gift authorship
  • Guest authorship
  • Ghost authorship
  • Misrepresentation of contributions

Confirmed cases may result in manuscript rejection, article correction, retraction, or further investigation.

Commitment to Transparency

Authors are encouraged to clearly describe individual contributions to promote transparency and accountability throughout the publication process.
