Biography -

Prof. James A. Ndako is a versatile, motivated, and efficient researcher, academic, and administrator. He is a certified medical laboratory scientist with a wide-span research career in the field of medical laboratory science with majors in medical microbiology and virology; his other areas of expertise include public health microbiology and molecular diagnostics. Prof. Ndako currently has over seventy (70) publications in both local and international journals, indexed with the PubMed database, Scopus Elsevier, Web of Science, and several other journal outlets.
He is a member of the editorial board of Journal of (Technology Transfer): Innovative Solutions in Medicine, ACTA Scientific: AS Microbiology Journal, and Biomedical Review: Journal of Basic & Applied Medical Sciences (JBAMS). He is also an editor with NILEST Journal of Science, Technology & Management, among others. He is also a reviewer for several ISI Web of Science journals and numerous other national & international journals evidenced on his WoS profile link. Prof. Ndako is an astute administrator and a fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants (FIMC-Certified Management Consultant-ICMCI Global), a certified management specialist, and a London graduate school fellow.
He won the Asia's Science, Technology, and Research Awards (ASTRA) in March 2023: Asia's Outstanding Researcher Award for excellence in research. The award-winning article is titled "Evaluation of diagnostic assay of patients with enteric fever by the box-plot distribution method." The grand event took place on the 1st of July 2023 at Grandeur Hall Breeze Residency. Trichy, Tamil Nadu, India. Similarly, as a mark of reward in furtherance of his impact in biomedical research, he was nominated for full membership in Sigma Xi, the Scientific Research Honor Society, in April 2023.
Prof. Ndako is a member of the following bodies: Nigerian Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists of Nigeria. (AMLSN), Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN), Nigerian Society for Microbiology (NSM), and Biotechnology Society of Nigeria. (BSN), Science Association of Nigeria (SAN), Society for Experimental Biology of Nigeria (SEBN), Nigerian Infectious Disease Society (NIDS), Bioethics Society of Nigeria (BESON), and Association of University Academic Medical Laboratory Scientists; he is also a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants (FIMC) and inducted Fellow of the African Institute of Public Health Practitioners (AIPHP).
He was a one-time assistant secretary and later secretary-general of the Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists of Nigeria. NVRI Chapter - 2006 to 2011, also a one-time principal examination officer and seminar coordinator for the BMLS associate and fellowship programs between 2005 and 2011 at the Federal College of Medical Laboratory Science (NVRI), Vom, Nigeria. Prof. James Ndako has served as Ag. Registrar; Dean of Students' Affairs; Director, General Studies; Head of Department, Member College Advisory Board; and Head, Departmental Board of Studies, among several other positions of responsibility at Landmark University. He is currently a professor at the department of medical laboratory science and the dean of the faculty of basic medical sciences at Adeleke University.
