Dr. Gharib Hafizov is Head of the Laboratory of Processing and Storage Technologies at the Research Institute of Fruit and Tea Growing, Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan. He earned his degree in Biology from Baku State University in 1981 and received his Ph.D. in Technical Sciences (Canned Food Technology) from the Odessa Technological Institute of Food Industry, Ukraine, in 1992. He was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor in 2019. Dr. Hafizov has authored or co-authored over 140 scientific publications, including 18 Scopus-indexed papers, two monographs, one book chapter, and nine inventions. He serves on several scientific and standardization committees and has reviewed manuscripts for leading international journals in food science.
