Prof. Pascal Lorenz received his M.Sc. degree in 1990 and Ph.D. degree in 1994 from the University of Nancy, France. Between 1990 and 1995, he worked as a Research Engineer at WorldFIP Europe and Alcatel-Alsthom. Since 1995, he has been a Professor at the University of Haute-Alsace, France.
His research interests include Quality of Service (QoS), wireless networks, high-speed networks, communication systems, and emerging networking technologies. He is the author and co-author of 3 books, 3 patents, and more than 200 international publications in peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
He has held several leadership positions within IEEE Communications Society and has contributed extensively to international conferences, editorial boards, technical committees, and research activities. He has served as Technical Editor for IEEE Communications Magazine, IEEE Networks Magazine, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, and IEEE Internet of Things Journal.
He is a Senior Member of IEEE, IARIA Fellow, and an active member of numerous international technical committees. He has served as IEEE ComSoc Distinguished Lecturer during 2013–2014 and 2026–2027.
