Carbon Management

Carbon management refers to the strategies and practices used to measure, control, reduce, and offset carbon dioxide (CO₂) and other greenhouse gas emissions released into the atmosphere. It plays a key role in addressing climate change by promoting low-carbon technologies, energy efficiency, and sustainable resource use across industries, transportation, agriculture, and energy sectors. Carbon management includes approaches such as carbon footprint assessment, carbon capture and storage (CCS), reforestation, carbon trading systems, and the adoption of renewable energy sources. Organizations and governments use carbon accounting frameworks to monitor emissions and set reduction targets aligned with climate goals. Effective carbon management also encourages innovation in green technologies and supports the transition toward a net-zero economy. Strengthening carbon management practices is essential for reducing global warming impacts, improving environmental quality, and ensuring long-term ecological and economic sustainability.
